SWARMind Hexacopter Node

Custom ~680 mm hexacopter airframe with multi-chip cognitive payload (~850 g) for Mission swarm sorties.

SWARMind Hexacopter Node

Physical swarm node specified in the Horizon Missions proposal: heterogeneous compute (Jetson Orin NX-class AI, Zynq UltraScale+ EKF fusion, STM32H7 safety), multi-modal sensing, and Galileo/EGNOS PNT within a >20 min endurance power budget.

Airframe: custom hexacopter, ~680 mm frame, ~2.4 kg AUW including ~850 g payload and dual 6S 5,000 mAh LiPo packs (~500 g). Hover draw ~320–380 W with MN3510-class motors / 15-inch props; parallel packs deliver ~222 Wh, supporting the programme endurance KPI of >20 minutes at 80% DoD.

Sensing (six modalities): RGB, calibrated thermal, solid-state LiDAR, 6-axis IMU, RF detector, dual-frequency Galileo/EGNOS GNSS. Primary mesh: 5.8 GHz OFDM; LoRa 868 MHz as long-range fallback under ETSI duty-cycle limits.

Mission profile

Cross-Mission environmental monitoring sorties (climate station augmentation, soil living labs, coastal/water, smart-city air quality) as a node in 3-drone closed-range then 20-drone field swarms.
